No Sound/Audio Drivers + other minor issue

I have no sound driver installed, when you click the volume icon it says "no input or output devices found" and konsole shows no devices.

this is my hardware info:

Audio:

Intel Celeron/Pentium Silver Processor High Definition Audio
driver: sof-audio-pci-intel-apl
alternate: snd_hda_intel,snd_soc_skl,snd_sof_pci_intel_apl

I've used ChatGPT extensively for guidance, whilst it provided many solutions and commands to help, non have worked.

Other minor issue:

Rarely (it once happened when the device was force shut down) the screen would "flicker"/"flash" occasionally.
This was fixed by "sudo update-grub", after reset - no more flickering. Just hope it doesn't happen regular.

I have no sound either, it detects my SB350 sound card but can't find the setting to check, im new to linux/ debian
