Thank you! I have spent a couple of months trying to install Q4OS 4.11 onto a very new Lenovo Laptop -- without much success! (Wifi & touchpad not recognised and a number of other features -- e.g. screen brightness -- no working properly). Q4OS 5.0 seems to have solved all those issues! Again: Well Done!

After about 10 days of use, I have found that a mixture of the ability to control the screen brightness and the optimisation of cpu power consumption has increased the usable time between battery recharging from just over 3.5 hours to just under 5 hours of working. One black mark against Q4OS 5.0 is that the spell check configuration fo "English UK" is by no means complete: the `z` demon is still present: in some cases, it still insists that i use the letter 'z' where, in English, wither is acceptable!

Plain Bookworm install via net install, setting everything for en_gb you still get en_us locale and dictionaries installed.
Have to reconfigure locales and remove en_us.
Then search for any hunspell, aspell and other en_us or en-us spell check related packages and remove them.
If this is cropping up in and Office programme then look at the spell check configuration in that software.
Don't forget that although Bookworm is now very cold and nearly frozen, it is still pre-release.

Really nice distro as Im using the KDE version and it feels more like a stable version. No issues at all on a variety of hardware.

I'm equally a new frenc user since 10 days.
Very good distro centered on clear objectives and progressions. Solid, complete, resource efficient.
Q4OS is my new daily driver for a long moment...
