Function Key's not working in TDE Environment/ (mic perm muted)

I have been using Q4OS for a short time and I am using it as my intro to Linux Distro. I enjoy how I can get the desktop to look like windows 95, however that being said since the install I have not gotten the default build in mic/ nore my other function keys working on my laptop. It does work in the Plasma Environment but not TDE
