Creating a bootable usb
I have Q4OS on my main desktop and would like to install it on my netbook (which doesn't have a cd drive). I'm not sure how to create a bootable usb drive or what software is available to do this?
Any help appreciated.

The easiest way is to plug your usb in, do not mount it, and run in terminal:
$ sudo cp iso-file.iso /dev/sdx
where
'sdx' is the target usb drive, for example 'sdb'
'iso-file.iso' is downloaded cd image, for example 'q4os-1.4.7-x64.iso'
Alternatively you can use 'unetbootin' software.

By the way, very nice OS. I've been looking for a replacement for XP and this is excellent.

Having successfully installed Q4OS on my netbook I would like to restore my usb stick to its original state; how do I do that?

UPDATE: I figured it out. I guess I should use Google first before coming here... ;-)

I used to follow this guide to create bootable DVD . Obviously I failed, the DVD or CD is not a good carrier, now i wan to try making bootable USB ,
If the USB can be booted , How much memory do we need for USB ? any effective user guides ,
