Hi.
I installed Quark 20.04.4 on the computer with processor AMD Sempron 3000, 2 Gb memory and it is working great, congratulations to the developers.
After installing I did the updates.
The only problem I had in installing Quark OS 20.04 was booting after Grub, it was stuck on the Kubuntu logo.
So I had to use tty (Ctrl + Alt + F2) to login and type startx, then yes you can get to the desktop.
Any tips to get to SDDM?
Thanks!

At first we would recommend to use 20.04.6, "quark-20.04.6-x64-qr1.iso" for installation https://sourceforge.net/projects/quark- … ook-media/
The issue seems to be hardware related, as we are not able to reproduce that. You could try to run in terminal:
$ sudo systemctl status sddm.service
$ sudo systemctl enable sddm.service
$ sudo systemctl unmask sddm.service
and post back.
This is not Quark support forum, please post here https://sourceforge.net/p/quark-os/discussion/general/

Hi, thanks for the answer and attention.
As soon as I do the tests of the commands that you indicated I will give the return.

Before installing Quark 20.04 I had installed Q4OS Trinity Centaurus and Q4OS Trinity Gemini but I couldn't have 1024x768 resolution, only 640x480 resolution.
But with Quark 20.04 it was possible to have 1024x768 resolution and be able to use Trinity Desktop with that resolution.
I created a topic about this problem for Chipset SiS 661/741/760, here is the link:

Sorry for putting this question on the wrong topic, it was to have chosen "General Discussion".

I installed the version Quark 20.04.6, but the same problem occurred.

The solution i found was to install Trinity Desktop and set TDM Display Manager as default Login Manager.
When restarting after Grub, now yes you can get to the Login Manager to enter the password.

For me it was better Quark with Trinity, the computer is working very well, fast and light.
Thanks!
