Metabox window manager

Is it possible to use themes 'Metacity' which include ' Metabox ' ? I have down loaded & installed them from the software installer, but can't access them.
Help would be appreciated,

Re: Metabox window manager

Metacity is a window manager out of the the old Gnome 2 era stable. They will not work on native Trinity/Plasma applications.

Older GTK stuff may respect them. However, if they are going to work you'll need to configure via the relevant GTK support tools in Q4OS.

Sadly you have not said which version of Q4OS you have installed. If it is Plasma the tools are already there in the Settings application. If you are on Trinity then you need to install the gtk and gtk3 support tools.

First of all open Konsole and enter

sudo kcmodules --unlock

Then install
gtk-qt-engine-trinity
gtk3-tqt-engine-trinity
tde-style-qtcurve-trinity

This will provide the GTK Styles and Fonts entry in Control Centre>Appearance and Themes

YMMV
