Re: Malformatted error when opening a .desktop file

Which Q4OS system, what software, where was it downloaded from, how was it installed, exact wording from the error message, /var/log entries etc.... would all help someone to help you, otherwise impossible.

Re: Malformatted error when opening a .desktop file

Well, is the 32-bit version of Q4OS Trinity. The error message displayed is:
'Service '/home/user/Downloads/tor-browser_en-US/start-tor-browser.desktop' is malformatted'

Is Tor supported?

Re: Malformatted error when opening a .desktop file

.desktop files have to contain commands that are recognisable to the system.

What was the source of the download - it looks like you have downloaded a zip or tar file from somewhere?

Did you make sure it was 32 bit compatible?

Please copy and paste the content of the .desktop file here.
