Q4OS 4 Gemini preliminary release is scheduled to September Monday 27th 2021. Please note, that's a preliminary date and may change.
We can also recommend current Gemini users to make use of Custom profiles, a new Desktop profiler feature. You can easily save the Profile of your current system and apply that Profile on a freshly installed machine. It will automatically restore packages, applications and certain configuration on a new Q4OS installation without need of manual installation.
EDIT: The release date has been changed from 20th to 27th September.

Will it be necessary to make a clean install the final release or can I just carry on using the Gemini testing release I have installed now?

It will be possible update and continue using current Gemini installations, however a new installation will be recommended to get a fresh and clean stable system.

Thanks. I will do that. I keep all my data on a secondary internal drive anyway so it doesn't take long to install and customize a new system.

Since we still need to resolve a few issues, we'll postpone the release date by one week. Gemini should be ready on Monday, September 27, 2021. Please be patient.

I am puzzled. According to the mail list at Trinity TDE Stable has not yet been released for Bullseye. It is due
with the next TDE release about the end of October.
This seems to be correct as you cannot install vanilla TDE on Bullseye yet. That being the case it begs the question whether it will be possible to upgrade Gemini to (presumably) 14.0.11 when that does come out in about a month?

Yes, we plan to allow extraordinary upgrade to TDE 14.0.11, in case the release proves valuable and stable enough. The 14.0.11 should be the ultimate TDE version for Q4OS Gemini.
