Boot procedure / Boot option

Hello everyone,
my name is Susanne and I have been working with Q4os since today. When booting the system, all the commands appear up to the login
The screen appears. Is it possible to remove this procedure or make it fancy, for example in MX Linux in the boot options with a topic? Maybe there is also the possibility to install an MX Boot Manager?

Please excuse my bad English.
Many thanks for your help
Susanne

Re: Boot procedure / Boot option

I found the solution here in the forum. I had to download the MX Tool package.

You could install grub-customizer too

sudo apt install grub-customizer

Re: Boot procedure / Boot option

Hello, thanks for the information. I reinstalled Q4os because the MX Tool is not always stable in some apps.
Could you please tell me which settings I have to make in Grub customizing, step by step so that I have a nice boot screen? I only work with KDE Plasma and it should boot a little faster if possible.

Q4OS' MX-Tools pkg installer is still in an experimental phase, it would be helpful if you could start a thread describing your experience while using it. About customizing grub, what is it exactly you'd like to do? Grub-customizer is an easy-to-use tool, it will allow you to set the background, font's size and color, amongst other things. This is a nice tutorial on theming grub http://wiki.rosalab.ru/en/index.php/Gru … e_tutorial give a read, then you can ask whatever questions you may have in your reply, and we'll try to answer those to the best of our abilities. smile
