Audio mutes after bootup (post-update bug)

Lenovo H430 / Q4OS Centaurus 64-bit / TDE

Installed updates several days ago; since then audio mutes after bootup. Unmuting with KMix GUI doesn't work; instead, I have to enter the following command:

amixer sset Master unmute

Then after rebooting, it's muted again -- so I have to repeat the above step.

Edit -- Several days later, for reasons unknown, it appears to have fixed itself.
