As per the subject, Retroarch (via Snap) runs great when in a regular window (60FPS) but whenever I put it into fullscreen mode (true fullscreen or windowed fullscreen) the framerate drops to 25-30FPS.
I'm lead to believe this may be a case of a VSync issue (double syncing?) but I'm not certain.
I've poked every possible setting in Retroarch including using different video drivers all to the same effect, making me think the problem perhaps lies with TDE somewhere. Launching Retroarch via "vblank_mode=0" I get told that the vblank mode is overridden by the environment.
Does TDE have a hidden VSync setting I have been unable to find?
