UEFI problem

Hi there!
I'd like to know how solve my problem.
I have an Acer Aspire E15 Start laptop but some days ago I made an installation of Kali Linux and where It said "if I wanted to force UEFI install" I clicked on yes.
Now when I install Q4OS on UEFI Mode, my SSD doesn't detect the installation I made, and I have to install it on Legacy.

Could someone help me to revert this "Forced UEFI"?

Thanks BTW!

Re: UEFI problem

In Windows via regedit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

HiberbootEnabled DWORD

0 = Turn off fast startup
1 = Turn on fast startup

Re: UEFI problem

"In short: just installing a bootloader in EFI is not enough, the BIOS will not see the bootloader anyway, unless you explicitly kick the BIOS into the bootloader using the BIOS menu item <Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing> (on the Security tab of the BIOS menu).

The ambush is that by default this menu item is locked in the BIOS. to unlock it, you need to temporarily set the superuser password (for example, to 1), after which <Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing> is available on the Security tab of the BIOS menu. You need to go to this menu item. It will show the contents of the EFI file partition on the disk. There you can use the arrows to view the file section of the EFI disk. In the case of ALT Linux, you can eventually find shim.efi and grubx64.efi there, there may be other files from other systems, for example, from the pre-installed Linpus Linux..."
