Sound plays through laptop speakers instead of Headphones
Hello! My sister has a laptop(which has Q4OS), which seems to be working fine until now. When she plugs in her headphones to her laptop, sound comes through the laptop speakers instead. Help!

It sounds more like a hardware problem. There should be a hardware switch for headphones, it should redirect sound to headphones without software assistance, when connected. You could try another headphones, make sure stereo jack passes well in the connector.

I found a temporary solution. When the headset is plugged in, mute the laptop speakers and turn up the volume for the headset in the mixer.
