Conky formatting

Hi

I have managed to get Conky running in Q4OS, but any Conky theme I use has a drop shadow added to the Conky window, even with all the window formatting disabled in Conky. I suspect this may have something to do with the Trinity Desktop compositor. Is there a specific setting that excludes Conky windows from compositor formatting?

Try changing

background = false,

to

background = true,

and remove

own_window_argb_value = 0,

note that it needs to be removed, commenting won't work. Make a conky.conf copy first, if you like.

cp /path/to/conky/conky.conf  conky.conf.bak #sudo cp if /path/to/conky/conky.conf is /etc/conky/conky.conf 

then try the changes I suggest, if they don't work, just revert the changes

cp /path/to/conky/conky.conf.bak conky.conf #use sudo if needed as explained above
