Which video editing software should I use?

The q4os  repository  has openshot and openshot-qt. Which one is more compatible with q4os? Or would you recommend another program?

Openshot-qt is the GUI, when you install openshot it gets installed as well. It always is a good idea to do an

apt-cache show pkg_name

to check some package details; dependencies, size and a brief description of the package.

$ apt-cache show openshot
Package: openshot
Source: openshot-qt
Version: 2.5.1+dfsg1-1~bpo10+1
Installed-Size: 13
Maintainer: Debian Multimedia Maintainers <debian-multimedia@lists.debian.org>

shotcut and blender or kdenlive

I have been using simple editing software such as OpenShot, Shotcut and Blender for a long time.
OpenShot act as a basic video editor, it does okay.
Blender actually has a video editing mode, and it has probably the smoothest preview playback.
Shotcut is my video editor of choice right now and seems to be the most stable and powerful open source option with regular updates.
