Good day!
I have low resolution monitor (1280x1024), so I have been trying to find the best font for such low resolution for years.
Currently, I have realized, that one of the best fonts for my monitor is Roboto. So, I have installed fonts-roboto metapackage, and have set Roboto font as default in Control Centre (attachment 1).
Unfortunately, some applications have different font after setting Roboto as default (attachment 2). Their font is thinner, than it should be.
How can I set up proper Roboto font for all applications? I use Q4OS Centaurus 3.13 x64 TDE.

Firefox is a GTK app so you'll need to set that via GTK3 settings. gtk3-tqt-engine-trinity and gtk-qt-engine-trinity
SMPlayer is a QT5 interface so that will need qt5ct to set it - only don't bother if you are using TDE as you get a clash in qt with the environment.

You can set a custom font for:
GTK2 apps: $HOME/.gtkrc-q4os
GTK3 apps: $HOME/.configtde/gtk-3.0/settings_trinity.ini
QT5 apps: $HOME/.configtde/q4tde/q4tde.conf
GTK common apps: $HOME/.xsettingsd

Thank you! I will try later. Now I have a lot of work...

Liberation should be the best overall but if you're looking for windows xp like letters, it's terminus. Support for bitmaps in X was dropped some time ago but it may still be working in debian.
