I'm using a laptop from 2008 with a Core2Duo processor and 4GB RAM and Q4OS-3.12 operating system. Yesterday (December 7), after installing system updates, the USB mouse stopped working. The touchpad continues to work fine, but neither the wired nor the wireless mouses works. The same USB connectors with flash drives work fine.
When I rebooted into a live image from a USB flash drive, and the mouse worked there. I could not beat the problem and reinstalled the operating system from a live flash drive. At first, the mouse worked, but the operating system downloaded and installed updates at the end of the installation. After rebooting, I was again left without a mouse.

Debian kernel has been upgraded recently from "4.19.0-12" to "4.19.0-13" version. It could be the culprit. Do anyone else notice USB hardware related issues after the upgrade ?

Thanks for the tip! I checked that my system has two kernels - 4.19.0-13-amd64 and 4.19.0-10-amd64. When I switched GRUB to load the old kernel 4.19.0-10, the mouse worked fine.

Never thought, that Debian Stable kernel update could lead to such weird issues
Now I will make system backup before upgrading the kernel...
Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502 If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

Today, after updating the kernel to version 4.19.0-14-amd64, the mouse works fine under this kernel. Rechecked: the mouse does not work under kernel 4.19.0-13-amd64. A bug has been fixed in the new version, it pleases.
