update manager error *SOLVED*

 Update manager has been exited with error code: 1004.
Please, try to run Update Manager a few minutes later again. 

I have gotten this on the last two updates. The first one I ran

 sudo apt update 

but want to see if that was correct.

Please run in terminal:
$ sudo apt update ; sudo apt dist-upgrade
and post a possible error message here.

No errors reported. However, it did update grub and ask where I wanted it installed. First time I've ran into that during an update. I guess I'll find out if I did anything wrong the next time I reboot!
