I have a toshiba C660, Q4OS has been working fine other than a problem with the wireless that was working but now I cannot get to enable from NetworkManager Applet or TDENetworkManager.
rfkill says the internal card is hard locked and reports that a TP LINK TL-WN722N isnt locked but neither works although it reports both when the TP LINK is inserted. One is reported as a Atheros AR9271 and the other QCA9565/AR9565. The internal card is dual bluetooth and that works no problem.
The laptop does not have wireless enable/disable in the bios or a dedicated switch. It does have wireless on/off on the special Fn keys but none of those work.
Have you any ideas how to solve this?
PS the latest updates seem to have changed some of the icons for some programs but not others and these also seem to swap back randomly. Effected programs are VLC, GParted, & Package manager.

Try this in the terminal
sudo rfkill unblock all
Than reboot see if the wifi than is working. I do not know how to fix the keyboard issue sorry never experienced that before.

Usually the Function keys work by using them "normally", ie pressing Fn + Wifi-toggle-key, but the BIOS/UEFI settings can often be changed to make them set to be used without pressing the Fn key, so you might just need to press the Wifi-toggle-key on its own, might be worth checking.

What do you mean "doesn't work"? Does the special Fn key led turn on? Is it white or red?
