Full Q4OS ARM port is available. Runs on wide variety of hardware equipped with ARM processors, beginning from Chromebooks, tablets, single board computers, embedded devices and more. See https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5840

Before I beat my head on a brick wall...
Can this be installed on a Nook Color?
from Widipedia -
The Nook Color uses a Texas Instruments ARM Cortex-A8 processor running at 800 MHz.[1] The device has 8 GB of internal memory supplied by Sandisk, but only 5 GB is user-accessible and can store an estimated 6,000 books or 100 hours of audio. As with the original Nook, microSD and microSDHC memory cards can be inserted to expand the Nook Color's memory up to 32 GB.
What would I have to do to install Q4OS on it? Would it install on an SD card like Android?
NOTE: Cyanogenmod Android is rather unstable on my nook color! Perhaps Q4OS would be more stable?
edit to add:
I guess what I am basically looking for is a "live cd" type setup, where the nook will boot off of the SD when it is inserted or boot normal nook when it is not.

ARM Q4OS will certainly work on your device, if you will succeed in Debian installation on it, see the setup guide http://www.q4os.org/dqa012.html
The hardware looks sufficient for Q4OS, you could search a Debian compatibility lists through the web.

I was able to install Q4OS on my RaspberryPi2, no issues, even using HDMI to DVI converter cable, worked like a champ.
(most other distros for RPI2 don't like the converter cable)

"This system is not ready for Q4Os setup"
I got this error message when attempting to run the Q4OS install script on my daughter's Asus Chromebook Flip C101PA.
I had managed to install Debian 10 Buster on it (thanks to the guide at zutshigroup.com/tech/c100p/x_lxde_debian).
I then upgraded to Debian 11, and then to Debian 12.
At each stage I tried to run the script q4os-setup.sh from q4os.org/dqa012.html
Each time I got the above error message.
Debian ran fine in all three versions.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Does anyone have a solution, or a suggestion for troubleshooting?
Debian Bookworm is fine, but I would much prefer to be running Q4OS, especially since it will support 32-bit longer than Debian.
(I have Q4OS on two old Thinkpads, and I recommend it to everyone as the easiest way to install Linux on a Win 10 machine.)
Thanks for the help!

Q4OS Arm64 version is in preparation at the moment. It will be available in half year roughly. The only available is Q4OS-5 Aquarius for Raspberry Pi https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/files/unofficial/
