Intel X3100 graphics / GM965 chipset - no display without nomodeset

Hi everyone, I am attempting to run Q4OS Centaurus w/ Trinity on my Dell Vostro 1510 laptop with Intel X3100 graphics. I am unable to get to the Trinity desktop and am stuck on a black screen unless I add "nomodeset" to the startup commands when booting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:
I was able to fix this issue by adding "video=SVIDEO-1:d" to the GRUB boot parameters.
