As the title prescribes, trying to start q4os-winsetup.exe in my Windows 7 machine spits back this error message. Couldn't find anything in the FAQ and the documents relating anything of my problem.
Appreciate any help, please and thank you!

We are not able to reproduce the issue. Please check the checksum of downloaded file first https://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html . It looks like the installer has not been extracted properly, maybe antivirus or another security software prevents it from extraction.
Did anyone else encounter this issue ?

Really grateful for your kind reply! Thanks much, haha.

No, I don't use any antivirus or anything similar in my computer, so it can't be that. I'm using 7Zip to extract the .zip. I made a check at the checksum, and I think this might be the issue. See attached picture below.

Well, the checksum doesn't match. See the correct md5 checksums:
9cf0a66a29f5cff4af91eaa710dff6fa q4os-winsetup.exe
9d62f0e9adccef1769cc2c231eeea06e q4os-winsetup.zip
Looks like the 7zip didn't extract the file correctly, please try it again, or you need to use another extract method. Anyway we will try to reproduce and check this issue. Thanks for reportting.

We have noticed you are using sha1 checksum, while we use md5. Please check sha1 sums:
0daaccc77c88a7695b3a678199ff1677874ca831 q4os-winsetup.exe
19549699514e8408079219ad0072519510c08cc7 q4os-winsetup.zip

My bad, silly me, hehe. Checked the MD5s just now, and yes, they match with yours, just like the SHA1s with yours respectively.
Nevertheless, the error still persist. I tested the extraction with PeaZip and WinRAR, yet neither them could shoo away it.

Hey, so scratch that. By miracle, the problem went away, and so, I was able to flawlessly install Q4OS into my other hard disk. Apparently, it was linked to my customized custom theme I installed into my Windows 7, and simply inputting "sfc scannow" into Command Prompt was enough for solving it. Just tested your distro, and it works like a charm, so far.
Mistake in my part, sorry. ^^;
