Q4OS, a fast and friendly Debian Linux system, look at a nice review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj0a0ygvhTI , the installer for Windows mentioned too https://youtu.be/sj0a0ygvhTI?t=1325

That was indeed a good review.
He admitted regretting not having looked at Q4OS before.
He was clearly impressed by the 'In Windows' installation system.
It's a selling point for many potential Q4OS users - still running W10.
Next question is -- will the same installer be made available for 'Quark' ?
I hope so.

A testing installer is already available https://sourceforge.net/projects/quark- … loopimage/ , file "quark-winsetup.zip"

Yep, the announcement is at www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=18303#p18303 -- with some really bad testing by me attached...

@Midas
Did you test the updated installer as well ?

So sorry, haven't had the time yet. I'm counting on doing it this week, though.

Another update should come in a few days, so you could wait a little more.

Oops, I just did -- sorry, I didn't catch your answer, q4osteam.
No good news, though. Under Windows 10, running from a virtual disk on a desktop PC, 'quark-winsetup.exe --dimagepath=D:\Quark\quark-20.04-x64-loop.img.xz' repeatedly failed with the following error:
>>command=C:\Windows\sysnative\bcdedit.exe /enum
>>retval=1
>>stderr=The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The requested system device cannot be found.
