WUBI style Centaurus not working [Solved]

Tried to install WUBI style Centaurus...
Assigned 64Gb + username + p.w.
At reboot, after going through a slew of codes, asks for username and password.
Have tried twice and it isn't working.

At least i know that trying to re-install allows to remove just like WUBI used to.

Did you try to log with the username and password in ? Did installation go well ? If so, it looks more like a hardware related issue. as we are not able to reproduce that. Centaurus installer is working fine here.

You could also try new Quark wubi testing installer:
Installer download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/quark- … nsetup.zip
Setup guide: https://www.q4os.org/dqa014.html

Re: WUBI style Centaurus not working [Solved]

@q4OS Team - went for a third attempt.
This time, instead of selecting reboot option, went for the shutdown and then everything went as expected.

Quick question: if we decide to uninstall again, can we use the WUBI style installer to do that?

Btw, seeing that everything is working fine now, might wait a while before testing the new Quark installer.
-what is new in Quark installer?

Yes, Windows installer, Wubi style, completely erases the Q4OS installation as it had never been installed.

It's just the same, Wubi style, installer for Quark operating system https://sourceforge.net/projects/quark-os/

That is good Q4OS Team!

Wonder why they ever did do away completely from WUBI?
So handy for newbies.

I so strongly agree -- as well as for a number of border cases OS setup, like virtual disks and/or loop devices... smile

@Midas
By the way, the Quark windows installer, as well as loop image, has been updated yesterday, you are welcome to test it out smile

Re: WUBI style Centaurus not working [Solved]

Noticed Quark pending for approval at Distrowatch today Sept. 28, 2020.

A part from having both Q4OS+Trinity (which already exists right?), what makes Quark different?
A more recent Debian base?

Btw, of all the KDE distros i've tested so far, Q4OS uses less resources.
