Q4OS 4.1, fully updated. Installed Evolution from the repos, but I can't get past the prompt for Google permissions. Just keeps cycling, never letting me open my Inbox. Has anyone else gotten this problem? Using the standard KDE desktop, which I love. Thanks.

Have you allowed Less Secure Apps in your Gmail account?

Can't figure out how to do it.

Just found the setting. It's set to allow for less secure applications. Somehow it seems to me that, given that Evolution is written for the Gnome desktop, distros running KDE may lack some pieces that are required for Evolution to run.

When you started Evolution and entered your Gmail account details did it then launch a Gmail window in a browser frame to confirm those details? Gmail uses oauth to validate accounts.
Which browser was/is installed at the time you did this.
Do remember that Q4OS 4.1 is based on Bullseye (Debian Testing) and that it will have bugs.

I don't recall.

Didn't know that. Perhaps the problem will be corrected in the future.
Thanks.
