q4os only recognizes 5gb but I have 12gb of storage please help

I am using q4os in a virtual machine, originally the VDI virtual disk in which I had put the data had 5gb of storage, but using --resize in the commands of the host system (which is a Windows 10) I now assigned 12gb, but q4os only recognizes me 5gb (Also, 5gb are already 100% occupied so I can't install anything). If someone could help me telling me how ago to detect the entire 12 gb I would really appreciate it. I'm using Google Translate.

q4os user on vb since september 2019, good os

Boot your VM from a Live-Cd image and use that to adjust the size, you might need to install Gparted in the live session to use a GUI front-end if you are not familiar with the cli tools.
