grub multi boot not working

i have 6 OSs. on startup, Q4OS boots but i cannot boot any of the rest.

Have you updated grub to see if the oither OS's get picked up? Also you could check if you have os-prober installed, this is the package that usually detects them, it is usually installed by default (I think) so should be available.
To check simply type

apt policy os-prober

and if installed you could run the grub updater

sudo update-grub

and during the process it should pick up any other OS's installed.

One thing to note is that if you use encryption on any of the OS's there could be issues, but as you didn't specify I am assuming they are not encrypted.

Thank You. I tried both of the above without success. Upon boot, I get the Grub list of all 6 OS's correctly. I can boot into Q4OS, but the rest of them give me a black screen with something like "you need to install the kernel"

In that case I think you will need to seek help on the forums of the other OS's as Q4OS is only one working correctly.
