Hi all,
I have installed 3.9 using the i386 Installer ISO. After installation on a laptop, I do not get the battery indicator in the panel. How can I activate it in order to see the battery status?
Greetings

If you are using Trinity desktop, you need to install "tdepowersave-trinity" package:
$ sudo apt install tdepowersave-trinity

Is there anyway to only show the battery symbol not the cpu as well?
Oh, hang on the green bar is part of the battery symbol charge state?
Seems odd why not just a single battery symbol...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

You can see the battery status only in the system tray. Where do you want to hide CPU symbol from ?

Its ok I was confused as it looked to me like the icon was showing both.
Its actually a single icon showing 1) A battery in either charging state [lightening strike] or not 2) A bar showing charge state
Not sure why the UI designer would do that ie 2 symbols rather than one...
