Good, I clarify my language is Spanish and this is translated with goolge translator.
I have installed q4os in its version of the medium, all very well.

and this problem arises, by putting silence from the volume control, then I cannot reactivate again. In other words, it is silent. I have to restart to recover the volume, it is not a big problem but sometimes I play it by mistake when adjusting the volume and it is annoying.

I have tried to update from sudo apt-get update and there is nothing, nor do I receive updates notifications. I also have MXlinux installed and this one has almost weekly updates.

another thing is that it takes a long time to turn off the computer

Hola ya te dico que soy espagnol por esto te escribo en espagnol queria preguntarte que vers estas usando de q40s e que sabor ( kde plasma, trinity , ecc)

que tal, sera la ultima, tendra 15 dias. es, Trinity R14.0.6 . probe plasma pero tube problemas de video parecia un vidrio roto animado. es vieja, tengo 2gb de ram. y una plaquita de video de 128 creo. No instale ningun driver adicional, codec o propietario, nada de eso. Saludos

Hola por primera cosa tienes que   installar codec o propietario despues vas ad abrir el terminale e pone este comando inxi -Fi e despues posta todo aquel que pone
