Good morning guys,
We got here at our Institute of Technology a beautiful example of the new Raspberry Pi 4, with fucking 4 GB of RAM!
But unfortunately we were unable to boot with the available version of Q4OS for Raspberry Pi (q4os-2.7-rpi.r5.zip). She doesn't give a video...
We tried with an LCD display connected directly to the GPIO bus and with a "mini HDMI/HDMI" cable on a 32-inch TV...
However, with the last Raspbian image it worked, we were able to boot and give video both on the LCD display and on the TV.
I even added a parameter that was at the end of the "config.txt" file of the Raspbian image in the same Q4OS file:
[pi4]
# Enable DRM VC4 V3D driver on top of the dispmanx display stack
dtoverlay = vc4-fkms-v3d
max_framebuffers = 2
But it also didn't work.

Did you try the latest Q4OS-3 testing image "q4os-3.10-rpi.r0-testing1.zip" based on Raspbian Buster ?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/files/testing/

It will become stable soon.

Just a single word to express my Q4OS experience running on RPi4:

Now we have a real Desktop, my friends!
Soon I'll post a YouTube video running in 4K beautifully!

Good Morning!
Let's get the first impressions of RPi4 4GB with Q4OS (with a little delay in posting)…
Unfortunately we were only able to stay with him for a single day , because one of the institute's teatchers managed to borrow it with a collaborator, and would need to return it over the weekend…
After a problem to boot with the 2.7 image, we were able to run the 3.0 development image.
I noticed a small bug when clicking on the Document Folder icon (/home/user), it is not opening (I don't remember what the error message was).
We obtained a type-C cable, and in the absence of an appropriate 3A power supply, we used a Bench Adjustable Variable Power Supply to generate the necessary voltage and amperage.
After installing the Full Profile, we went straight to test the reproduction of videos in 4k that shot spectacularly.
A 4K video from Youtube right in the browser:

A video from the sports website GloboEsporte.com (usually heavy):

The running Blender software:

I surfed the Internet a bit and it was possible to notice a significant improvement in speed.
Unfortunately, a single day was too little for us to do more detailed tests. But the little I saw the new board with Q4OS can replace a desktop perfectly.
Soon I will buy one on Aliexpress.
