Once the computer is powered, every 30 seconds it automatically falls into hibernation state, until I press the start button and it wakes up...for another 30 secondes....an so on...
I have installed Q4OS ver. 3.9 i386 on my old BlueLight laptop. CeleronM 1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM and a "huge" 40GB hard drive.
By the way... Q4SO runs beautifly...but for only 30 seconds at a time.
Is the problem in the BIOS or in the operatign sistem?
Help Please! Thank you in advance.

You could try disabling the screensaver, it is how I keep my system awake.
Right click Desktop and select Configure Desktop then Screen Saver and then un-check Start Automatically (or make other changes, ie set time to your liking) and apply the changes (or just click ok).
If you just want to prevent screen lock but still use the screensaver at a certain time interval you could use the TDEPowerSave utility to give you options to fine tune all your other power settings (including sleep and hibernation options).

Thank you very mucho...but your sugestion did not work...so I decided to drop G4OS and install other Linux based OS...I'm working on Lubuntu 14.10
I hope it comes out well with no surprises...

Lubuntu 14.10 is no longer supported and end of life I believe was in July of 2015.

Most definitely without a doubt you’d be better off sticking with Q4OS! Make sure that the TDE Powersave is installed so you can disable what you want when on battery or willpower.
