I use Chromium (Version 76.0.3809.100 (Developer Build) built on Debian 10.0, running on Debian 10.1 (64-bit)) and for a week now I've been getting messages prompting me to update and warning me of security issues.
When I click on the 'update now' button, however, it takes me to a Google Chrome update page which, even once installed, does nothing to prevent more update messages on Chromium. I tried uninstalling Chromium and reinstalling via the Q4OS Software Centre and this hasn't solved the problem.
Will there be an update via the repositories soon? Should I switch back to Chrome for security reasons?
Thanks.

Same problem here, can chromium be updated & add to repository ?
Thanks.

It's a general Debian based Chromium issue, the Debian team takes care about its security. We would guess, Chromium could take an update soon. In the meantime we will check a possibility to fix the issue somehow.

The issue is confirmed and reported as a Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo … bug=943668

Thanks. So it's just a case of waiting for a fix to come down in an update through the repos, right?

The issue should be fixed now, you only need to update your system from repositories.
