Hello
I like your philosophy and consequently I want to try this OS. But bevore I invest a lot of time, I need to make sure that
· Kaffeine runs perfectly to receive Satellite programs.
· I work usually parallel with 3 OS. One is the last LTS as a backup. Then the newest release for the daily work. And the third one is used as «experimental» for testing new distros. I run with a strict philosophy that in the Home are no working files and folders. Just what is needed by the computer. All files and folders are on several hard disks. I am a strict believer to separate Machine from Men. This system involves that I keep several applications which have a central partition which I call «profiles» as I started this with the Mozilla profiles. This way I have one place to have access from all installed OS. All of these partitions belong to me and not to root.
· That in the graphics part I have the same choice of programmes like I have at present with Kubuntu 18.04.
· I can install the OS in German language and then localize it in Swiss German.
Can you confirm that all these are available,, please?

Hello
I understand that we volunteers can not be constantly online; I am myself an admin with the German Kubuntu User help User forum.
I mean this tv-Browser: tvbrowser.org. Sorry, but I am not (yet) allowed to send links.
If you know other, which care the German range, incl. CG and A, I would be very thankful.

Hi Arran13
Yes it will work. You just need to install java 8 or higher from the official repos first. Install openjdk-8-jre from the official repos first. then download the .gz file from the downloads section of the tvbrowser website. extract it and run the .jar file. thats it!
edit
java is os or platform agnostic if have it installed then java programs will work
