Lenovo ideapad s130

Hi Guy's

As you see I have Lenovo ideapad s130 and trouble is I can not get my wifi working while q4os scorpion.

I've read and tried just about everything I can find, As you know the model has no internet port so any upgrade or updates just don't work.

So if anyone can help I would appreciate it as a beginner I need help as I can not see or find a answer

Re: Lenovo ideapad s130

Welcome to Q4OS

This may well be a Realtek card - info on web indicates possibly a RTL8821CE.

In that case it may get a bit complicated - there are multiple posts on different distro forums with issues surrounding this card/laptop

Before going further - do you have the means to tether the Lenovo to a mobile and get internet access that way?

Re: Lenovo ideapad s130

I would also try the Centaurus Live-Cd as it may have better drivers (and firmware) to give you internet, just burn the image to USB and when the desktop starts it will tell you if you have wifi access. You can find the image in the Centaurus Download Page it is so close to becoming the stable version I would consider it ok for main system already.

Re: Lenovo ideapad s130

Thanks Guy's for the response believe it or not, all this time I'm trying to get tethering for phones to the computer, Sad to say with no luck at all. I'm willing (almost) to try anything to get the OS up and running. If you have any more suggestions I'll give it a shot.
Thanks, I'll get back you guy's this time.
