Install was OK. Ran Nvidia installer from Q4OS Software.
Following reboot I am left with a display 1280x768 showing a 0 refresh rate.
Tried to run the Nvidia settings tool and it says:-
You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.
nvidia-xconfig doesn't exist.
Uninstalling leaves the same mushy screen setting - should be 1366x768
I have previously installed nvidia OK on this machine - that may have been Centaurus.
Offline
Please attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file here.
Anyway, you could install nvidia-xconfig from repositories, although it's not recommended for newer systems.
Offline
Have attached zip with .log files as requested.

It looks like the driver has not been installed at all. Please post the following for analyze:
file "$HOME/.appsetup2/log/setup-q4os-nvidia-drivers.log"
Terminal output of commands:
$ nvidia-detect
$ dpkg --get-selections | grep nvidia
Offline
nvidia-detect:-
Detected NVIDIA GPUs:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation G96M [GeForce 9600M GT] [10de:0649] (rev a1)
Checking card: NVIDIA Corporation G96M [GeForce 9600M GT] (rev a1)
Your card is only supported up to the 340 legacy drivers series.
It is recommended to install the nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver package.
dpkg output:-

Also notice error in boot text - found this in syslog:-
May 17 13:57:22 flopsy systemd-modules-load[195]: modprobe: FATAL: Module nvidia-legacy-340xx not found in directory /lib/modules/4.9.0-8-amd64

May 17 13:57:22 flopsy systemd-modules-load[195]: Error running install command for nvidia
So it looks as though the install is happening, but not happening.
I have done this twice on fresh installs of both Scorpion r5 and r6 - each time the install concludes and requests a reboot.

So try to install driver manually:
$ sudo apt install nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver
and post a result back. If Nvidia still doesn't work, it's most likely a Debian issue.
and also post the logfile:
"$HOME/.appsetup2/log/setup-q4os-nvidia-drivers.log"

You may only need to update your system to build the Nvidia module for the current kernel 4.9.0-9. Please try to perform the update:
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt dist-upgrade
Reboot, check the video driver and post back the result.

Yes - it's a dependency issue.

This is not good as the nvidia installer is out of step with the rest of the installed system.
I have always fought shy of running dist-upgrade in the past as it has the power to totally bork a system under some circumstances.
Installed image 4.9.0.9 and all is good - repeated from scratch install with both r5 and r6 and it works.
Thanks for the assistance.

We have updated the Q4OS installer for Nvidia video cards. It now pulls linux-headers dependency automatically. It would be helpful, if you could test the installer on your hardware.

Thanks team - all seems good now - tested with Centaurus as well.
