Replace file browser in Q4OS

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to replace the file browser with one that is efficient and can recognize the android phones, or that file scanners are 100% compatible with Q4OS.

We recommend to use "Gmtp" application for access to Android devices, please see Q4OS documentation https://www.q4os.org/dqa007.html#android

File transfer from Android can be a bit hit and miss. You'll find a lot of posts on the subject in the forum
All I want to do is access photos from the phone.
I seems to depend on the make of phone, junk added by the sellers and also the version of Android.

I have never had any luck with gmtp.
The following may help:-
jmtpfs, go-mtpfs, gphotofs, mtp-tools
Reboot after install
With luck the phone will appear on the desktop as a camera.
