Just stumbled over FreeXP https://freexp.sourceforge.io/ and I am wondering what changes does the installation of FreeXP apply to the base Q4OS?
Any Infos are welcome. ...

If you want to get the XP - or other Windows versions - look then https://xpq4.sourceforge.io/ is the better option - it works seamlessly with Q4OS

oops, FreeXP is by the same people as xpq4, I know it and used it before. I would like to know and understand, what customizations are applied to Q4OS by the script, which can be downloaded at https://sourceforge.net/projects/freexp … h/download

Freexp - instructions
1. Install Q4OS Desktop - in other words aimed at those not using Q4OS.
The download link itself points to the XPQ4 page to download the desired .sh installer.
In other words it is the same installer with a minor added step for those who do not use Q4OS - step 1 - install Q4OS
However to answer your question, it installs a set of themes consisting of window decorations, icons, styles, splash and fonts. There is a control pane to allow you to select different interfaces, but be aware that customisations may not be retained during switching. In the past I used it simply to extract the icon sets and other bits I wanted which I now just incorporate as when and if required.
