Synaptic 'Search' buttton relocated in latest versions

I have been playing with Centaurus and as normal I install synaptic.

[RANT MODE ON] What idiot decided to move the 'Search' button from where it has been since the dawn of time - over to the far right???

Did they sit down and think - "I know - we haven't changed this for years, let's do something really intuitive and move the main button folks use as far as possible from all the others."

Presumably for our convenience!!!!
