After install no WIFI

Hi I just installed Scorpio on Compaq presario SG2, and in live boot and in installation wifi was working but after reboot in fresh install there is no wifi. Hardware is recognized but there is no interfaces in Network manager. Wifi card is RT3090.
I tried with nmtui and there is no device.
Any advice?

What Desktop are you using? Trinity/Plasma/Xfce/Gnome/other?

Trinity : When you click on the taskbar icon and hover on the new connection what is displayed?

I have Trinity, on hover it says disconnected, i already did rfkill enable all.
There is no list of networks no scan possible.

Click the network icon and hover over the line that says New Connection

Yes i know how to use network manager.
There is no network listed.

yo filip750 you need to install https://packages.debian.org/stretch/fir … sc-nonfree
looks like your wifi card is missing drivers
the earlier listed package should install the required driver
firmware-misc-nonfree is available in synaptic too

The firmware package should already be installed by default, but you can check with

apt policy firmware-linux-nonfree

Another thing you could do is boot the Live-Cd to see what driver it is using.

While in the Live-Cd you could make a connection to your WIFI and copy the connection across to your installed distro, the file /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/<SSID NAME> stores the info, obviously the connection would still fail if the card has no driver/firmware.
