Hi, thanks in advance for assistance. I was pretty excited after reading Scorpion reviews to install it.
I initially installed the 32 bit using a USB memory stick produced with Rufus. The live installation seemed to go fine. The computer also ran great in the live session. Upon re-boot the grub menu appeared (running alongside Windows 8.1) and selected Q4OS.
After a couple pages of scrolling text it went to a blank/black screen with a cursor type line at the top left.
I had intended to install a 64 bit version anyway, so downloaded the 64 bit scorpion and produced with Rufus another memory stick. Once again live session was great. I did the install from the live session and that seemed to go well. Upon reboot an identical result, black screen with a line: _ at the top left.
I tried the advanced options, Recovery mode. It scrolls through some text then says "ctrl + D" and after entering that it goes to the black screen again.
I have run Debian, Mint, Sparky on this laptop with no issues.
Any ideas? Thanks, Chris

It looks like a graphics driver issue. Please try to boot a live media system, mount the Q4OS root filesystem on harddisk, pull the "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" file and attach it here for analyze.

It seems good, please attach "Xorg.0.log" from the Q4OS live media filesystem for comparision. You can add attachment here by 'post reply -> choose file'
Offline
Here is the live file.

The logs looks like Xorg server crashes throughout the wacom tablet initialization unlike within the live system. Unfortunately, it's a hardware dependent issue. As we cannot test it on the hardware specified, the only way is to report a bug https://sourceforge.net/p/q4os/tickets/ . We will test that and post here as soon as we will have a similar hardware available.

Thanks for the update.
