Document Folder path icon in start menu

Dears,

I found a issue in the r4 version (which did not happen in r1) related to the system paths.

In "Control Center -> System Administration -> Paths" I like to set the "Document Path" option to "/home/user/" instead of the default "/home/user/Documents" way when I click the "Document Folder" icon it lists me the user's home folder.

It happens that in version r4, when I change this option "Document Path" only the icon that is on the desktop is accepting the change, the icon that is inside the start menu is not working, it continues pointing to the default address "/home/user/Documents".

Is there any way to edit the icon that is in the start menu?

Since this was not the case in the r1 version, could you help me find a solution for this?

Att.;

Rafael

Yes, we can confirm a glitch in Trinity XDG standard implementation, we will report it for TDE developers. Meanwhile, you only need to set the correct path:
$ xdg-user-dirs-update --set DOCUMENTS $HOME/

Great! A simple and elegant solution with just one command line! big_smile

Has there been an update of the TDE version in Q4OS from revision r1 to r4?

No, but Q4OS makes use a different XDG config directory for TDE.

Re: Document Folder path icon in start menu

Guys, one question: what is the real need of this configuration change in the XDG home that was deployed from the r2 version?

I asked this because I detected two issues that were given exactly because this (save the Gedit settings and this issue now related to the system paths) ...

Why not keep as it was in r1 version?

Re: Document Folder path icon in start menu

Different desktop environments settings conflict with each other for shared XDG configuration, so we need to keep it independent.
