install to emmc on pinebook

I have successfully booted from SD and played around a bit. I would like to install this to emmc now, but cannot find the "installer" that is shown in the documentation. Do I essentially need to dd the image directly to the emmc, or is there another/better way to go about this?

What image did you install to the SD card ? What icons do you see on the desktop after first user login ? You should have an installer icon on your desktop, just double click on it.

Re: install to emmc on pinebook

I used the image which was automatically downloaded by the Pine64 Installer. I'm unsure what image that was, but can probably find its filename once I'm back on that computer if I need to. Logging in as the built-in qadmin user, I simply do not see the installer icon which is shown in the documentation.

Re: install to emmc on pinebook

We would recommend you to flash the most recent ".r7" image "q4os-2.6-pinebook1080p.r7.zip", please download it directly from our website https://q4os.org/downloads1.html#downloads_spechw . Please read the installation instructions https://q4os.org/dqa013.html . The installer icon should be on your desktop.

Re: install to emmc on pinebook

This worked, thanks. It appears as though I originally used the .r6 image, in case that helps somehow.
