VirtualBox

I installed Q4OS 2.6 x64 LIVE in VirtualBox (Windows 7 Pro x64).
I then installed Guest Additions and rebooted.
I tried to install Q4OS on the virtual disk (clicked on the icon "Install Q4OS").
The installation seems to go OK, but the LIVE version boot and ask for Guest Addition installation again.
I have installed Linux Mint and Ubuntu before, so I know how to use VirtualBox.
I also tried version 3.4 but after reboot: "No bootable medium found".
Any suggestions?

Did you remove installation cd from the virtual machine before boot ?

I also tried version 3.4 but after reboot: "No bootable medium found".

We are not able to reproduce, 3.4 Centaurus boots fine in Virtualbox here. Could you post entry parameters of the virtual machine please ?

Here is what I did :

- Boot again with the Q4OS disk
- Once in the operating system , start GPARTED application
- Check the BOOT Flag on the main partition , should be the SDA1 , the one that is the main OS partition

Don't hesitate to ask for any support here .

I think what has happened here is that after installation and subsequent reboot the Live-Cd has not been removed from the VM and so it will boot into that again instead of your virtual environment, you could check this by entering the settings for the VM and be sure to disconnect the Live-Cd media in the storage section.
Also if you try to install the guest additions into the Live-Cd environment it will be lost as soon as you reboot as changes to the Live session are not persistent.

Thank you very much for your answers!
Q4OS 2.6 now works correctly.
Adding / as mount point and forcing unmount of the iso file solved my problems.

I use your iso file (not a CD).
I don´t know how to find the entry parameters of the virtual machine.

I should have understood that installing something in a live environment is not saved.

I am new to Linux and I test different distributions in VirtualBox under Windows 7.
I have installed Mint Mate, Ubuntu, Linux Lite, Elementary, Q4OS 2.6 (Trinity) and Sparky.
I will later decide what to install in a Dell E6230 laptop (Intel i5-3320, 2.6GHz with 8GB RAM).

I removed Q4OS v3.4 as I prefer the look of v2.6 (Sorry).

You could also change a visual theme of Centaurus 3.4 to the Q4OS default, aka 2.6, using 'Lookswitcher' utility available in the Start menu.
