Q4OS on an older Mac

I have an imac from 2006. It has 2GB of RAM Core 2 Duo 2.16 Ghtz. Would Q4OS be able to run on my iMac? Is it a good fit in terms of resources? I'm running Debian LXDE at the moment and my processor activity is so high. I use Audacity and Simple scan for most things with this computer. I don't plan on upgrading the RAM either.

Thanks!!!

Yes, we would recommend you to download the Trinity desktop live cd https://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html

Re: Q4OS on an older Mac

I ran q4os on a macbook from not long after your imac, and it should run pretty smoothly on there honestly.  I did at the time however have to install from a Debian USB and then run the scripts to transform it into q4os, the installer for q4os at the time wouldn't complete on the Mac.  This was several installers ago, so this might be fixed by now, but if not, that's an alternative.
