Hello and good day to everyone
Is there a screen capture tool available in the Q4OS Scorpion ?
Also i would like to thank Q4OS team for a very stable OS which i have found to be very robust and you can throw anything at it and it does not break the OS.
Also i would like to thank Dai_trying for supporting the forums and helping people like myself new to Linux .
I have gained a more understanding of linux and how to use git ,apt-get,sudo etc.
Its actually quite fun....as long as the instructions are there to follow ,its not to difficult, well not always haha.
Kind Regards
Graeme

You may want to check out "simple screen recorder", which is in the repository.
(edit to add)
Unless you are wanting a snapshot of the screen. In that case just press "print screen" on your keyboard. Then on a blank spot of the desktop, right click and select "paste clipboard contents". Give it a filename and it will be saved as a png file.

The easiest way to simply capture your screen is to press PrtScr on your keyboard and then right click the desktop (or in a folder in konqueror) and select Paste clipboard Contents (or simply select the desktop or folder and press Ctrl-v) give a filename and it will be saved.
JimW's edit beat me

ksnapshot-trinity is a perfect one, install it in terminal:
$ sudo apt install ksnapshot-trinity

Thank you very much for the replies.
I opted for ksnapshot-trinity as it was easy to install and it worked first time with full screen selected .
I have taken 2 x screenshot tests and the clarity is excellent it remembers the setting next time round also.
You open the software and press the (save as) button and name the png file and thats it.
Done in seconds.
Kind Regards

I like the flexibility of ksnapshot-trinity but usually just use the prtscr method out of habit

I actually prefer shutter to either method. Shutters not the lightest tool, and it requires GTK libraries, but it's far more capable.

There sure are many tools to get the job done, and I usually use the standard printscreen method as it is available with the basic (pure profile) installation so always there. The only problem I have is when I want to catch a drop-down menu or similar that removes focus as soon as a key is pressed, that is when I have to install ksnapshot-trinity and use a timer.
