Re: snappy

Snapd is available from the main Debian repositories so should also be available from Synaptic Package Manager in Q4OS. If you are still running Orion (old stable) then you might need to use Scorpion (current stable) to get it as it is only available for Stretch (Scorpion) Buster (Centaurus) and Sid.

Re: snappy

running Jesse. Just about got it working with most of the bells etc, was looking for it in Synaptic (snapd) and could not find it. I prefer Synaptic rather than command line because of dependency pkg. Yes i am a former windows guy and the idea of all of the program down loading and installing with one or two clicks is still my expectation. I really don't want to make or configure a package. it is one of the reasons i like q4os. the software installed and ran otb on my dell inspiron 1500 series laptop (including the wifi card) which most of the other distros did not.

Re: snappy

The core is Ubuntu and I think the package would be ubuntu-core-launcher which would be pulled in as a dependency of snapd upon installation.
