Pale Moon Web Browser

Please make it possible for Pale Moon Web Browser to install,uninstall and update in q4os-2.4.

It is already compiled for Debian 9

see below

For Debian 9.0 run the following as root:

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositori … ebian_9.0/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/palemoon.list
apt-get update
apt-get install palemoon

You can add the repository key to apt. Keep in mind that the owner of the key may distribute updates, packages and repositories that your system will trust (more information). To add the key, run:

wget -nv https://download.opensuse.org/repositor … elease.key -O Release.key
apt-key add - < Release.key
apt-get update

Re: Pale Moon Web Browser

We have compiled new Palemoon installer, you can download it here https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/f … erimental/

Additionally, you can install a nonSSE Palemoon version:
$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install palemoon-nonsse2

Thanks, you can make a donation to Q4OS project here https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c … 4Y4X4FJWKG

The donations we receive range from a single dollar to a several of hundreds. The important thing for people is to give something, and for us it's to generate the income, that will let us work and succeed on this project, month after month.

I have an odd problem with the setup_q4os-palemoon_1-1a1_all.esh you made for me
When it updates it says error.
This is the only place such an error comes
I update everything else without error,the updated palemoon behaves normally.

For some reason, this is not working. Is it enabled on Scorpion?

Thanks,

Re: Pale Moon Web Browser

@albatrosdk
There were some changes in the Palemoon repositories, the correct instructions now:

First you need to install Palemoon, download installer from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/f … erimental/

In addition, you can install non-SSE version
$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install palemoon-nonsse2

Original instructions fixed, thanks for the report.
