For some reason my panel is now showing double apps even though there is only one instance of each app running. I looked through the settings, but can't find anything that might be causing this or a way to correct this.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like to me you have two instances of the Taskbar app running in your panel.
Right-mouse click on the bottom panel and click on "Unlock panels". Then, just to the immediate left of one of those taskbar instances, right-mouse click and see if you get a "Remove Taskbar" option. If so, select it. That should remove the duplicate Taskbar app from your bottom panel.

Thanks DavidB. That did the trick. I'm new to TDE and I was trying some changes the other day. I must have done...something wrong.

Hey, you're most welcome, MC! Glad it worked.
I'm so very glad to be using TDE. KDE 3.5 was my favorite desktop environment. I'm so glad the Trinity team chose to pick up from where KDE left off. All the old memories of using it are coming back and I'm enjoying it very much.
