I installed the i686-pae version on my non-pae Inspiron 9200 laptop. I should start by saying my previous Lubuntu non-pae worked fine. It is simply obsolete. With Q4OS installed, I've had trouble logging my password _after_ initial login. During "timeout" and/or during "set autologin" my password has not been recognized. I finally found the problem when I tried typing into the terminal. The keyboard is typing gibberish. Hence, rejection of my password _after_ login. (I am writing this message from another computer)
Why is the keyboard typing gibberish _after_ login? (Note: There is _nothing_ I can do via Terminal due to "gibberish" from keyboard).
Definition of "Gibberish": Letters _and_ numbers, instead of _all_ letters. When it does type letters, they are correct.
"Caps" is not on. Everything is set properly.
Huh ???

You may need to turn 'NumLock' off, please see https://www.q4os.org/dqa011.html#system.2

Yep. Thank you. I feel like a dummy for not thinking of that one, especially that I usually turn it off in the Bios settings.
I know exactly what to do now; (i.e. "as per the link you gave me").
Thanks, buddy.

Dear Q4OS Team,
_Thank you_ for this "non-pae" Operating System. You've given new life to my Dell Inspiron 9200.
I'm truly grateful!
Sincerely,
Gregg
