Ok, I guess I can do that. Should I do it now or wait until I have an update?

I would disable them now and then see if future updates install without issue (hopefully).

Now "0" - off
We will see what happens. Hope it helps.

@JimW
The crash could indicate a memory leak in the updater executable. Would you post a short specs of your hardware, please ? It would be also helpful, to run updater a few times from terminal and post output here, if possible. Just run in terminal:
$ /opt/program_files/q4os-update-manager/bin/updatemgr.exu
and click to "Yes" to perform the upgrade, even no available updates are displayed.
A second option is to wait for new available updates. As soon as you see new updates available icon in the system tray, just do not click to run updater, but run in terminal:
$ /opt/program_files/q4os-update-manager/bin/updatemgr.exu
Did anyone else notice updater crashing ?

I have noticed the same error when installing esh files as I have been working on an updated themebackup, the first time it happened at the end of the installation process but the app was installed correctly and worked without issue, the second time it happened was at the beginning of the installation process and it closed the installer. I have experience these crashes a few times before but thought it might have been because I was trying to do too much too quickly when configuring and installing my applications (for testing).

We have just released new version of the Q4OS Update Manager, it will be updated automatically from the repositories. Please post here, if you will experience an incorrect behavior of the updater. Thanks all for reporting.

Yes, we are aware, there could be occasional crashes in the 'esh' installer, but it's probably not connected to the updater. We are working to improve the installer as a separate task. Anyway, keep reporting please, it's helpful for us to resolve issues.

I hope to be working more on my small apps and will likely run into this issue again, I will install gdb so I can get the backtrace and should I pass this on to you? (if it will be helpful)

Ok I will mail them to you if/when they occur.

Never had any issues with the updater which made this problem all the more curious.
